The story of Jollying begins with Chris Cheung, whose family has owned a luggage manufacturing business for 31 years. Since its establishment in 1993, the factory has become renowned for its meticulous and efficient craftsmanship, earning the trust and production orders of numerous well-known luggage brands from the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and beyond.
The Birth of Jollying
Chris has served countless customers and brands in the luggage industry. As a travel enthusiast who has visited many countries, he has encountered numerous suitcases but has never found one that fully meets his travel needs. Driven by this gap, Chris decided to create luggage that would better suit the needs of modern travelers. He distilled the key features of the perfect suitcase: Practical, Playful, and Valuable. Thus, the brand Jollying was born!
Creative with Andrea Ponti
Chris has always admired the work of Andrea Ponti, a talented Hong Kong-based Italian designer skilled at blending the sophistication of Western design with the simplicity of Eastern aesthetics. Chris went to Andrea to discuss the design concept and aesthetic. This meeting revealed a shared vision that had been years in the making and set them on the path to creating Jollying.
Launch of Pebble
After a year of dedicated effort and numerous design iterations, the design team successfully launched Pebble in the summer of 2019, our first foldable suitcase. Hong Kong, a vibrant crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures, is a city where diverse influences and rich creativity converge. It was here that Pebble made its debut, quickly capturing the attention of young, dynamic customers. The foldable function is exactly what Hong Kong travelers need. The customers' feedback and suggestions have been invaluable, guiding Jollying in continuously refining and enhancing our products. Jollying set foot in Hong Kong and is now reaching out to the world.
